"Comfort In The Valley" by Tony Evans

Eighteen-year-old Brooke singing a song she wrote for her cancer-surviving dad.

PSALM 23
The Lord is my Shepherd; = our relationship with Jesus
I shall not want. = HE will supply our needs
HE makes me lie down in green pastures; = rest
HE leads me beside the still waters. = refreshment
HE restores my soul; = healing
HE leads me in paths of righteousness = guidance
For His name’s sake. = purpose
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, = testing
I will fear no evil; = protection
For YOU are with me; = faithfulness
YOUR rod and staff, they comfort me = discipline
YOU prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; = hope
YOU anoint my head with oil; = consecration
My cup runs over. = abundance
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me ALL the days of my life; = blessings
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD = security
Forever.  = eternity

 “Rachel, the LORD GOD
LOVES YOU!!”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (New International Version)

9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions,in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

"Footprints In The Sand"

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

  11. Hi sister in law
    just know that I love you and have seen you fight through all adversity. You might have Cancer but it does not have your soul and Spirit Cancer can not attack your spirit. love you and praying for you. I leave with this Gods Word. love you
    Psalms 138
    I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart;
    I will sing your praises before the gods.
    2 I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness;
    for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.
    3 As soon as I pray, you answer me;
    you encourage me by giving me strength.
    4 Every king in all the earth will thank you, Lord,
    for all of them will hear your words.
    5 Yes, they will sing about the Lord’s ways,
    for the glory of the Lord is very great.
    6 Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble,
    but he keeps his distance from the proud.
    7 Though I am surrounded by troubles,
    you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.
    You reach out your hand,
    and the power of your right hand saves me.
    8 The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
    for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
    Don’t abandon me, for you made me

  12. Prayer for Rachel,

    Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)

    Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
    Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

    We love you Rachel and we have you in our prayers always,
    Your family, Rudy, Mimi, Ryan, Rudolph & Alexis Martinez
